I lost someone close to me and the NHS didn't give me the freedom to grieve properly. That was the day I decided this system would never own my life again.

I am a Consultant Paediatric Anaesthetist and BMJ Clinical Editor who built a modern career from scratch — without a roadmap, without a mentor who had done it before, and without a business degree.

I know what it feels like to be deeply capable and profoundly under-leveraged. To have ideas and no structure to implement them. To understand the specific weight of medical training and institutional life — and the specific cost of staying dependent on it.

Who is this programme for?
Portfolio OS is for doctors and clinicians who want to build a strategic, sustainable income stream outside their traditional salary without leaving medicine. We work with Foundation Doctors through to Consultants and GP Partners.
Do I need to have a business idea already?
No. You need skills and experience. We will identify what is monetisable and structure the right next move for you.
How is this different from hiring a business coach?
Business coaching teaches tactics. Portfolio OS designs income architecture specific to doctors operating inside regulated, time-constrained systems. Most doctors do not need more information. They need the right sequence.
How much time does it take each week?
Roughly 2 hours per week. All sessions are recorded and available within 24 hours. Designed specifically for full-time working doctors.
Is this live or self-paced?
Hybrid. Weekly live masterclasses, fortnightly 1:1 mentoring with Dr Niks, and structured self-paced materials. You also receive a personalised Portfolio OS portal.
How many people are accepted?
Maximum 8 doctors per cohort. Intentionally small for personalised support and accountability. Once spots are filled, doors close.
